The Concept:
Generate publicity and sales for the small, independent clothing store.
The Challenge:
Create a viral video that would showcase Kin's unique style of clothes. For a viral video to work, we needed to get a lot of people to talk about it on the Internet and for those people to want to share it through posting it on their own blogs, emailing the video to other people, and commenting on it on YouTube.
The Solution:
The “L Word” star, Kate Moennig is a fan of Kin, so we made a video where our own host, Katherine Kendall, and Kate go shopping at the store, and Kate dresses our host in her signature style.
The Result:
260,903 views on YouTube and counting; a 5-star rating by 689 people on the video; and over 650 people comments. If you search actress Kate Moennig (“The L Word”) on Google, Kin Boutqie's video appears at the top of the search engine. As a result, many new customers from all over (and fans of "The L Word") visit the store and there has been lots of organic and positive press for the store because of the buzz around the video. |
